Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our private Road to Hana tours.

Where do we meet?

We meet at the entrance to Baldwin Beach Park in Paia (about 6 miles east of the airport). This is our standard meeting place, though it may vary — your guide will confirm the exact location the day before your tour.

What time do tours begin?

Full day tours start at 8 AM. Half day tours have a flexible start time — we’ll work with your schedule. Your guide will confirm timing the day before.

What about food?

There are tons of options along the way! Famous banana bread, tropical fruit stands, roadside BBQ, Thai food, fresh fish, and more. Your guide may even climb a tree and grab some fresh guavas or papayas for you. Food costs are not included in the tour price.

What is provided?

We provide beach towels, reef-safe sunscreen, natural bug repellent, and a cooler stocked with water and juice on ice. Just bring yourself, a camera, bathing suits, spending cash, and a sense of adventure!

Will I do anything strenuous or dangerous?

Nothing is required — everything is optional! Your guide will assess your group’s ability level and comfort, and customize activities accordingly. Cliff jumping, hiking, and swimming are all available but never mandatory.

Will we be in a group with strangers?

Never! All of our tours are 100% private. It’s just your group and your guide. You’re welcome to invite friends if there’s room — additional guests are $99 per person.

How many guests can you accommodate?

Our luxury vans seat up to 7 passengers, but we limit tours to 6 adults for comfort. The rear row can fit 3 smaller children. Contact us for pricing for larger groups.

What’s the cancellation policy?

Cancellations made more than 72 hours before your tour incur a $100 fee. Within 48 hours: no refund, but you’ll receive a 50% credit toward a future tour (transferable to friends/family). We have a “good guy policy” — life happens, and we’ll work with you.

Do you offer hotel pick-up?

We don’t offer hotel pick-up as it diminishes the tour experience and creates safety concerns for our guides. We recommend using Uber/Lyft to get to the meeting point. However, we can do airport pickup or drop-off if needed!

Is there a minimum age?

The minimum age is 4 years old. Kids are priced the same as adults. Our tours are family-friendly — we adjust the activities and pace based on your group.
